Here are some details on my first R1100RS. New in March 1999, owned for two years and 36,000 miles
I set the bike up for long distance touring, accessories included Bagster tank bag, AeroFlow Screen, Sargent seat, Pia lights and auxiliary fuel tank. The only engine modification was to fit R1100GS intake tubes
The home made tank was Aluminium construction, 14 litre capacity finished in black polyurethane. After initial installation the tank was designed to be fitted and removed in 5 minutes.

Last picture shows Fuel Pump (centre) and inline electric fuel cut-off solenoid (on right). The fuel leaves the aux tank via a in-line filter through the solenoid to the pump and then to the main tank via the fuel injection return pipe.
Note: the fuel pipe on the left from the pump is the feed to the main tank, but in this photo it is not correctly routed. It would normally go under the o/s pannier mount.
